FURTHER DECREASE IN STORAGE SHOWN

A accrease in the total storage fof water in the resurvolts of the Colony is shown in the water returns for the mouth of March complied by the Public Works Department. The total storage in Island reservoirs un April 1 was 1,084.99 million gallons as against 1,090.93 million gallons at the same period last year..

With an estimated population of 423,600 the consumption per wad per day was 20.9 gallons, as against an average of 214 with an estimated population of 388,601 Jast year.

The additional amount supplied tu the Island villages during the month of March was 10.77 million gallons.

A ten-hours supply was muin- tained in all districts throughout the month.

Mainland Figures

The total storage of water in the Mainland reservoirs on April 1 was 322.06 million gallons as against 429.77 million gallons for the same period last year.

AB estimated population of 339,050 consumed an average of 15.6
