TREATY DENUNCIATION NOT PERMISSIBLE

Berlin, March 25.

A brief communique was issued to-day at the conclusion of the Anglo-German conversations.

It stated, says Reuter, that conversations took place in the morning and again in the afternoon, some of the points mentioned in the Anglo-French communique of February 3 being discussed. The conversations will be resumed to-morrow.

The United Press adds that Herr Hitler, Baron von Neurath, Herr von Ribbentrop, Mr. Anthony Eden and Sir Eric Phipps, the British Ambassador, con- ferred at the Chancellery all day long and will continue the conversations to-morrow.

It is belloyed possible that Ger- many may ask for the return of Memel. It is pointed out that the other powers may offer a plebiscite] on the Memel qucation in return for Herr Hitler's concession - re- garding the becurity of Europe and re-armament.

Memel is a seaport in the land- locked Kurlochés Haft, being situated in the League of Nations' territory (formerly Germany) be- tween East Prussia and Lithuania. During the Great War it was cap- tured and
