In regard to an item of $12,000 under the heading Kowloon Build- ings "Furniture. Workshop, and Store," the footnoto stated:-A sum of $27,000 was approved for this work in 1984; but owing to the contractor's failure to complete the work, expenditure of $10,687 only was incurred. The provision of $2,000 in the 1935 Estimates is for retention money only, so as the work bas proceeded an additional sum of $12,000 is required to com- expended balance of $16,418 avail- able at the end of 1934, re-vote of the sum of $12,000 only, is there- fore requested.
