"kla' Moor baht 'at" thundered from the Roof Garden of the Hong- kong Hotel last night, when huge crowd, which comfortably packed the rooni, gathered on the occasion of tho fifth Annual Cabaret-Dinner-Dance of the Bociety of Yorkshiremen in Hong- kong.

Every table in the Rose Room was decorated with the emblematic white rose, the President's table being especially conspicious in this respect Largo pictures of Yorkshire beauty adorned the four, walls of the room."

Of considerable interest

Bile the exhibition in the foyer of an inter- esting souvenir of the 1933 Dinner, in the form of a menu autographed by. four Yorkshire and England cricketers. This menu was taken Home by a member whilst on leave, and he sue-' eceded in securing the signatarov.

Many prominent residents of the Colony were included in the record number of guests.

His Excellency the Governor and Lady Peel arrived at 7.50 p.m.- and were met by the President, Mr. A. Brearley and the Hon, Secretary, Mr. J. G. Meyer.

His Excellency and Lady Peel were encorted to the first floor lounge, where the Committee were presented, after which cocktails and Aor d'oeuvres were served.

A Membership and Financial Campaign Dinner was held at 5.30 p.m. yesterday at the Sincero's Roof Garden to mark the opening of the Chinese Y.M.C.A.'s 26th Annual Membership and 34th Annual Financial Campaigu.
