The following reports on the New York stock market have been received through Messrs. Swan, Culbertson & Fritz: The Wall Street Journal re- port on yesterday's markets; Stocks declined to new low ground, dno to tite statement of the White House Attache who emphasized that there was nothing in what President Roose- velt had said at the Press Conference, which could be construed na the ellghtest intention of further devalua-) tion.

Therd was na carly spurt Im mediately following the Press Conference, owing to some traders on Wall Street having interpreted the President's remarks na indicative off possible further devaluation, upon which mining lexues soared with; others following, and aided by short- covering and also by the sharp breaki

in

the dollar. Grains Jumped. Government bonds broke, which disconcerted the Treasury, owing to their Funding operations. The latter in believed to have caused President Roosevelt to instruct his Attache to clarify his remarks, emphasising that any inference looking to contemplated further devaluation is absolutely un-! true; on which statement the markets. reversed. Stocks

crashed, while Government bonds rallied and the dollar Armed up. The grain market; declined.

any inflationary intent attributed to a previous report, The nction of the markets is evidence of Intent buying power awaiting an incentivo.
