When asked whether; he had any. thing to say for himself, by Mr. A. W, G. Granthaer at the Kowloon Magistracy on Saturday morning, Kwan Fong, aged 20, unemployed, asked that his wife should be informed of what had happened to him.

The defendant was charged with having committed an indecent na- rault on Li Kiu, aged 21, n. married woman, at Kowloon City on February 26, to which he pleaded guilty,

Detective Inspector A. J. W. Dor. ling, prosecuting, stated that on February 25 the complainant was on the hillside near the Tungshan Tomple at Kowloon City, when the defendant came up to her and said that he was Forestry Guard, and that he was going to arrest her. After walking a little distance, the defendant asked complainant for bail, about $50, in reply to which the complainant sald that she would have to go back to her house for the money. They went along further and the defendant sud- denly pushed complainant on the ground.

The woman put up a struggle and the man went nway. The com- plainant did not report the matter but was taken to a doctor in Nathan Road. About two days later the defendant went up the hillside again, and was seen by party of wonten who had witnessed the nannult upon the complainant. The women 647- rounded lite man and beat him with bamboo poles. A police whistle was blown, a gardener camo on the scene and the man was taken to the policy rtation. The defendant is a married man and has children,

Although it was stated that there were nothing like sufficient assets to pay a dividend of 15 per cent, a receiving order in bankruptcy was mude against the Canton Bros. Rubber Manufacturing Company before Mr. Justice A. D. A. MacGregor on Satur day.

The petitioning creditors, the Asiatic Petroleum Company. were represented by Mr. D. B. Evans, ot Messrs. Johnson, Stokes and Master.

Mr. J. C. Miller, an employee of the A.P.C., said the debtore owed them 87,654, Tho pasets were $00,000 and the liabilities were $600,000.

Mr. Justice J. J. Hayden. Melal Receiver, and there were nothing like suficient assets to pay 15 per cent in this ease, but he did not propose to oppose the petition. Mr. J. T. Prior, of Messrs. Wilkinson & Grist, representing $475,000 worth of credi- Lors, and a judgment creditor for $7,600, represented by Mir, Leo Almada, Snr., were not epesing the petition. In fact only 11 share- holdera representing $56,000 htt mande any opposition.
