Splendid bowling by Lt. C. C. Garthwalto and C. S. M. Elvin caused the collapss of the Volunteers in both their innings, and enabled the United Services to win by 118 runs in the two-day fixture which was concluded on the Hongkong Cricket Club ground yesterday.

R. H. Grimthe made a valiant effort] to save his side, and his score of 65 was the result of a polished innings, eally the best in the match.

When the Volunteers resumed their Grst innings yesterday, Lt. Garthwaite ran through the side, and finished up with the excellent figures of wickets for 24 runa.

The United Services declared their second innings closed after losing two wickets for 80 runs. Capt. L. J. Walch and Lt.Cdr. Nowsom, opened the batting, played ex-| hilarating cricket, hitting the bowling to all parts of the field.
