CONSULAR SERVICE

Yesterday afternoon, at the In- vitation of the Resident Engineer, Mr. G. B. Gifford Hull, à repre- sentative party of members of the Consular Service in Hongkong paid an Interesting visit to the Shing Mun works, where work on Hongkong's 3,000 million gallon dam has been in progress for overi a year.

Parties were conducted by Mr. Hull, Mr. Innes, Mr. Finlay and Mr. Binule and visited the dam, tunnele, quarries, and witnessed the whole of the plant in opern

tion.

Considerable interest was dia played by the visitors in all sections of the work, on which nearly 2.000 workers are now em- ployed.
