GREAT HONOUR TO' „BILANGHAI ARTIST

1935.

It is announced that the celling mosaic decoration art work in the

now Hongkong and Shanghat Bank Building, has been awarded to Mr. Victor

Stopanovich Podgorsky, Shanghai wrist, whose fama la not confined to Shanghai and the Orient, but whose paintings are hung in the galleries of America and the capitals of Europe.

The area to be covered totals 4,000 square feet, with 50 life size figures, as well as scores of animals, machines, kindred subjects. The ships, and design embodies fiat coloured mosaic, no half tones, but bright unsoftened colours..

The main ceiling surface is pro Jected as an inverted half cylinder, running the length of the principal
