It will be recalled, that.on January 10, Chan Man, maator of a funk, told tragic story to the Police of the murder of his twin brother and the | kidnapping of three women, including, his wife, and two children at Taing: Shan Keuk, near Castle Peak.

According his story, tho junk left Chek Wan in Chinese territory on January 15, and arrived at Tring Shan Keuk ut 3 p.m., where fishing gear was dropped overboard and the craft moored about 300 yards from the shore. About 11.30 p.m. while Chan Man was asleep, he was struck two blows with a blunt instrument, evidently by men who had come aboard the vessel from another junk. Des pite his injuries he jumped overboard and Awan to another Junk near at hand, and from there observed his awn Junk being salled away, with Another junk in pursuit.

Later his brother, Chan Tai, wat found by the Police lying seriously injured outside the San Hui dispen sary, evidently having also Juniped wverhoart. I succumbed to his in- Juries. The three women and two children on board the pirated Juhk were Inter rescued by the vessel which went in pursuit, but the raiders mede their escape.
