AMERICA FEARS NAVAL ATTACK
VULNERABLE COAST
Washington, Jan. 7. Bnemy attacks against the United States in event of war would be by sex, in the opinion: of Representative Carl Vinson (Democrat) of Georgia, chairman of the House Naval Affairs Com- mittes.
The Votoran ́congressman, who has been a member of the naval committee for 17 years and its chairman for three years, does not bellove that the time has yet ar rived when a foreign power cut- eide of the American eatinent could effectively conduct "air ralds" or the mainland of the United States.

"The geographic altuation of the United States is such that anomy can attack us except vin the sea," Vinson stated in ปล recent report to the Federal Avia. tion Commission.
"Even to attack via Canada or Mexico would first involve reach- ing Canada or Mexico via the sea. The Navy in and will continue to bo our first line of defence. The present and prospective develop-| mant of aeroplanes shows that overseas air attacks are still a question of the future,"
Mr. Vinson 18 in favour of doing everything possible to avoid Im- pairing the efficiency on the Navy, and its control over its own avia- tion. He is unqualifiedly opposed to any proposal for a "unifled" air norvice.
NAVY'S REPONSIBILITY
The chairman of the House Naval committee placed himself on record as favouring establishment of "the complete responsibility of the Navy for the aerial sen lefence of the cousts and outlying posca- alons of the United States.”

The feature of this dance which can be done to any fox trot tune, fast or slow, is the crossing of one foot directly in front of the other. This carries you along a wavering zig-zag curse and breaks the monotony of the old-fashioned merry-go-round routines.
When starting this dance, follow the steps in the diagram. The person who wants to develop his sense of rhythm should listen to n great deal of music. Go to concerts. Turn on the radio or phonograph and, while the music fills the room, whistle or hum along with the orchestra.
After you have learned to hum and whistle many tunes, tap your feet and hands in time to music. At first, you won't be able to do it perfectly. Later on, of course, you will. And when one hand and one foot taps in perfect time to some sparkling tuno, you have gone à long way toward becoming rhythmic dancer.
B
Your next step in mastering rhythm is to walk to music. Turn on the radio and pace up and down your room. Keep step to the music. After a few weeks of these 'exercises, you'll find that you netual; ly can walk rapidly, troi and even run without making n single mistake as far as perfect time fa concerned.

NO MORE NO LESS
With more, you sacrifice economy-- With less, you sacrifice smoothness.
Depend on CHEVROLET for the right answer to the question of cylinders in a low-priced car! SIX CYLINDERS. No More, No Less."
And Chevrolet is backed up in its judgment by selling almost as many cars as her two closest competitors combined. WHY SUCH DECIDED PREFERENCE ?,-
Chevrolet knows that, unless a low-priced car has 6 cylinders, the owner must sacrifice either SMOOTHNESS or ECONOMY.
Insist on a CHEVROLET SIX.
