Honolulu, Dec. 4.
Twenty naval seaplanes, searching for the missing Pacific fliers, Charles Ulm, G. M. Littlejohn and L. Skil- ling, have been joined by a fleet of United States naval vessels and a great fan-shaped line of ships is sweeping north-west from Honolulu in the hope of sighting the missing plane.
Nine submarines, numerous minesweepers, des- troyers and coastguard cutters are steaming 250 miles out in the direction in which Ulm is believed to have landed when forced down by lack of fuel, after he had lost his way. Ulm himself reported that his plane was south of Honolulu, but naval authorities belleve he was mistaken.
He went on to explain that it
