Mr. P. II. Sin appeared for the complainant, while Mr. F. H. Loseby, of Messrs. Russ and Company, represented the de- fondant.

Witness was un oficiál of a Methodist Church at Kowloon

City. She had been to Bwatow and had returned only funt Wednesday. On the day of the alleged assault, Sze-lo Hin-Young Fave a thanksgiving party and witness was among those present.

While listening to a preacher at the side of the house, witness saw a motor car with a European and a Chinese in it. They got out of the motor car went to a piece of land where the complainant was having a building erected. Witness heard the Chinese kay that the building did not conform to the measurements. Something elae was said which witness did not hear dialinetly. She then saw the defendunt pick up a stone and throw it at the complainant.

Afterwards witness went up to the complainant and saw that her stocking was foru and her leg was bleeding. Witness was afraid of blood and did not do anything to the injury,

In answer to questions prat to her by Mr. Sin, witness stated that she had not known that the ease was being held in court until youterday morning. She hid never seen 31. Sin before that morning.

Mr. K. A Bidnead, A.S.P (Kowloon), Kave evidence in which he stated that he had taken statements from the complainant, and several witnesses includi Sze-to Hin-Yeung. Yeung Sak ching and Inspector Cunningham. The statements were not signed by the witnesses as they were only intended to be enquiries.

The case was further adorned until 2.30 p.m. on Friday, Novem ber 16.
