Babe Ruth's Team Beats Nippon All-Stars

Tokyo, Nov. 5.

Another caprelty crowd of 65,000 cheered to-day as Babe Ruth and his American big league baseball barnstormers, making their second start in Japan, said it with homera and downed the Nippon All-Stars 5 to 1 in a well-contested game.

The Americans clouted altogether four fourmasters, and this was just their margin of victory over the Japanese, who put up a much harder fight than did the Tokyo club in losing yesterday 17 to 1.

The Babe himself failed to con- nect for the circuit, but Ear! Averill of the Clevoland Indians did it twice and Lou Gehrig of the New York Yankees, the 1934 home run king, and Jimmy Foxx, of the Philadelphin Athletics, contributed one four-ply swat aplece. These accounted for all the American tal- Hes, although the visitors obtained lx additional hits off the delivery of two Japanese moundsmen,

Joe Chacarelia of the Athletics, limited the Japanese to three hits. Both outfits were debited with two errors.
