Madrid, Oct. 8. Fifty-two soldiers were almost instantly killed, some of them be- ing literally blown to pieces, when they were dynamited by robels to day.
The soldiers were specially pick- ed Shock Troopers, and were being conveyed in a big military. lorry.
Apparently the roaming torror- ists in the country-side had been lying in wait for just such an op- portunity, for on the lorry-load of men passed their place of conceal- ment a dynamite-mine was eprung.
Every man in the lorry was either killed outright or so badly injured that ho died almost at once. The dynamiting occurred in Asturias, where thus far there has been no great excitement.
To-day's casualties bring the unofficial total of dead to 400 dur- ling the recent revolt.-Router.
