Back in Detroit, where they were greeted like conquering heroes, the Tigers were once again humbled on their own grounds at Navin Field by a rejuvenated team of fighting St. Louis Cardinals to-day. Thus the World's Series for the baseball prize of the year was tied again, and the issue will not be decided until

Having whipped St. Louis twice on their own field, the Tigers were confident that their one-game fead would see them through and that they would make it three straight for the pennant. They put their young pitching prodigy into the box to make sure of the game.
