An old lithograph purchased recently by Mr. V. H. C. Jarrett in London. It is dated 1810, and entitled “Hoa Chu Fou Tos, a Chinate fort near Canton". This ald fort still standı, near the Canton bund, but is now wind sa a park.
Another lithograph in the possession of Mr. Jarratt, forming a companion plature to the one of an old fortress. It is also dated 1810, and·la aniiffed "Scene on the
Canton River",
