INDIAN WATCHMAN WARNED

Sardar Khan, 30, an unemploy ed Indian watchman, was charged before Mr. E. W. Hamilton at the Central Magistracy this morning with being in the Colony without a valid passport.

It was stated that defendant camo to the Colony fast year and registered un n watchman. In

six months he resigned three times and made a perfect nuisance of himself. He was told to leave the Colony and he went to Macao to Join police there. He returned to the Colony two weeks ago and ro- ceived another warning to leave, He came back again on Saturday, whereupon the police decided to take action, as they considered him to be of an undesirable character.

His Worship explained to de- fendant that if he wanted to come to the Colony he must have a pass- port. Ife could get one in Maeno, į Canton or Shanghai.

In imposing a flúe of $10 or 14 days, his Worship advised defon-. dant to return to Indin.
