The talk by Mr. E. 1. 1. Ilgham could not take place as advertised, due to the fact of the Telegraphi Competition entries, not being available for public exhibition until Monday, 10th. Inst. The speaker therefore dealt briefly with the evolution of art, and the atms and, morals of the pictorialist.
.The actual discussion of the entries will be held in the Morning Post Building on Thursday next at 6.80, and an opportunity will be given to those attending put for- ward their ideas. This meeting is hold under the auspices of the H.K. International Photographic Society.
All amateurs are invited to join the II.K.I.P.S., present and intend- ing members can obtain information from the Hon. Secretary, Mr. 8. B. Tan, whose address now is c/o. Asin Life Insurance Co., Queen's Road. Photographic queries can be sent to the above address. Replies to same will be published In this column the following week.

REMARKABLE STANDARD, The Judges expressed themselves as being astonished not only at the large number of entries, but at the big percentage of prints of high
quality. There were So many entries that could be classified na of prize-winning merit that the Judges found it no easy matter to allot the awards. For this reason, competitors who did not succeed in winning prizes should not be dis couraged; whilst, on the other hand, the actual winners should realise that in some instances they only just managed to bent ather com- patitors.
Batisfaction is voiced by the Judges over the fact that the re marks made last year in regard to technique and finish have been taken to heart, with the result that, generally speaking,
