CHATHAM ROAD

MR. E. L. HOSIE FINED.

DELAY IN ISSUE OF SUMMONSES

A complaint against the slow- ness in service of summonses in Kowloon was, made by E. La Hosie, of Kowloon Dock, who was summoned before Mr. E. I. Wynne-Jones at the Kowloon Magistracy this morning for two breaches of the Traffle Regula- Llons. Mr. Hosle sald nine days had elapsed from the timò he was told he was going to be summoned before he received the summons.

The charges against defendant were that he drove private car No. 2134 without a licence at 6.15 p.m. on July 31 and that he failed to atop his car when called upon to do en by a police officer at the same time.

ONE CHARGE DENIED.

It was alleged that defendant was driving along Chatham Road when he was signalled by Sergeant l'ennell to stop at the function ut Gascoigno Rond, but disregarded

the signal and carried on.
