The hearing was resumed at the Central Magistracy Saturday morning. Mr. H. C. Lee appeared for the complainant, Mr. Jackson Chan, salesman employed by Messrs. Cornell Nombr Brea, agents for the General Milk Caletta

Canter Company of U.S.A., manufacturers of alphons

Hankow the Peacock Brand milk, and Mr. W. Honolulu K: Robinson appeared for the defen-Lobe dant firm.

Mr. Rabluson called Cheung Man- wah, manager of the Central Store; and Wal Pok-kwok, a salesman, who both testified that the milk had been bought from the "Yeo Wo Cheung fire, who, they said, were the sub-agents

for the milk. They had no reason to doubt the genuineness of the milk.

Wai Pak-kwck also deposed that Jackson Chan had gone to the store about July 17 and had examined the tins' of milk, and when asked why he was examining them, had replied he wanted to res whether they were okli or now. Witness had then informed Jackson Chan they had bought the tins. from the Yee, Wo Cheung Srm.
