ROAD CROSSINGS.

London, June 9. Experimental rond crossings for pedestrians at sixty places in West- minster and Holborn will come into operation in London on Monday.

Regulations provide for the first time that pedestrians crossing the roud elsewhere thau en the cros- the sings which are marked on Nagasaki Hong Kong roadway will be liable, on convic

tion, to a maximum fine of bs., 3 July

while a maximum penalty of £5 is 17 July

provided for drivers of vehicles 31 July
