IRON, STEEL WORKERS PLAN WALK-OUT

JAPANESE PURCHASES IN UNITED STATES

Panama, June 4, In the last two months, 32 ves- sels from United States ports have negotiated the Panama Canal for Japan with serap iron, steel, lead and other munition materials.

American-manufactured anti-air- craft guns, packed like motorcars and marked machinery, have also: passed through in the freighters.

The latest vessel to pass through carried from the Canal Zone, 8,000 tons of scrap iron which had been purchased by Japan from a New York company at the rate of $8.90 a ton-Renter
