A legal point over the mean- ing of the word "appropriate" in a traffic summons
arose
before Mr. Hamilton, at the Central Magistracy this morning.
The defendants were Yau Wal, summoned for having driven private car No. 1981 without an appropriate licence, and Lal Ming- chal, the owner of the ear, sum- moned for having allowed You' Wal to drive the car.
