The disclosure that the chief officer, Mr. John Rennie, altered the course of the Svale without re- ferring to him was made by Captain G. H. Wilkins, the master, at the Marine Court of Inquiry into the strand- ing and subsequent total loss of the Douglas boat, Svale, which opened this morning.
