The Indian Rope Trick never has been done, never can be done, and nover will be done.

That is the broad conclusion of the Occult Committee of the Magle Circle us it will be put to mcoting at fl small treatre in Marylebone on April 30.

The Committee, which is com- posed of experts in conjuring and out occult practice, has carried investigations of one of the world's most famous legends over a perlod of 16 years. Scores of witnesses have come forward claining to have seen the trick performed, but the evidence of all of them has been rejected by the Committee.

Not one person has been found who could claim to perform the trick.

The meeting will be addressed by Lieutenant-Colonel B. II. Elliott, Chairman of the Committee and Dr. Edwin Smith, the Westminster Coroner, and will be presided over by Lard Ampthill.
