ΠΟΣ Akers-Douglas Amateur Rackets Singles title tor the third time, at Queen's Club yesterday, by defeating A. M. Hedley by 3 games to nit (18-9, M. Griffiths (-15.3). 15-3, 17-16). Throughout this competition Hedley, has shown himself not only a player of some Ane strokes, but he goes out for his shots in exhilarating fashion. That is, indeed, somewhat of a handicap to him at present, and experience will, no doubt, tench him later to temper his brilliance with discretion.

Leonardo Gavin, Jr., smashed his way into the Anals of the national open tennis championship by decl- sively defeating Guillermo Aragon in three straight sets, 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 in one of the semi-final matches yeaterday at the Long Laan courts. He qualified to meet Paquito Aragon, one time local tennis king pin who crushed Felix Ampon's pennant aspirations in the other semi-final match, score 7-5, 6-2, 7-6.
