Next he played a low diamond. and when West played the six, he finessed the nine, East winning with the queen und returning the king of spades, which Roberts trumped with the six of hearts.
Roberts now led the three of dia monds, When West played the eight, he got a good reading on the West hand and refused to go up with the king in dummy, playing

East returned the queen of apades, which Roberta trumped with the nine of hearts and it held the trick, Weat discarding # din- mond.
******The seven of hearts" was played next, declarer going right up with the nee in dummy, catching East's queen and the hand was made. All Roberta had to do was to lend the king of diamonds from dummy, which East tramped with his good king of hearts.
As the jack and three of hicurts were in dummy and the ten of hearts and five of diamonds were in Roberts' hand, he was bound to win the last two tricks.
