MALAY HOCKEY VISIT TO MACAO DELAYED

INTERPORTERS TO PLAY TO-DAY

LEAVING ON THURSDAY

A mishap to the Macao steamer Sui Tal made it necessary for the Malayan visitors to cancel their pro- posed visit to the Portuguese Colony yesterday. The team will mail this morning for Macao, where they are due to meet their hosts in an offels! match before returning to Hongkong! for their final Axture.

The Malayans, accompanied by n party of local amelals, Lieut. F. A. da Costa (captain of the Macao team who came to Hongkong the end of laat week) and other Macao residenta, boarded the steamer Sul Tal yester- day morning for their departure, which was Umed for 9 o'clock.

Just as the steamer was about to leave the wharf she fouled a cable and damaged her propeller. The ship was released after some delay and an examination was then carried out Ahout ten o'clock it was announced that the ship was unable to sail and the trip to Macao had to be cancelled. tho Disappointed as they were Malayans accepted their misfortune in the best of spirits and returned to their hotel.
