VACATING SITE

RESPONSE TO APPEAL

London, Apr. 4.. Westminster Hospital, one of the oldest and owing to its posi tion opposite Westminster Abbey, perhaps the best known in Lon- don, is shortly to be vacated.

In response to an appeal for £100,000 for the purchase of a site for a new building, a sum of £106,- 731 has been raised in five months, 6,000 donors contributing.

Ar appeal on behalf of the fund was broadenst recently by tho Lord Chancellor, Lord Sankey, and ns areault £8.127 was received.

A loan of £220,000 will be raised for the new building which will incorporate the latest develop ments in hospital design and ap- paratus after a report has been re- ceived from a mission which will inspect most modern European hospitals.
