It is latoresting to note that Capt. R. B. Davies, V. C., D. S. O the present commander of H.M.S. Cornwall, was also in Cmdr. Samson's Squadron "at" "Gallipoli, and Cindr. Stssmore was aloft i the fight in which Capt.: Davjes earned his V. C.

After the Gallipoli evacuation, Cmdr. Sissmore transferred to destroyer work, and remained with this important arm of the Royal Navy until the end of the War.
