The declarer can count hearts, four diamonds, and a club. To make his contract, he must win two spade tricks. If he has kept track of the cards, he now knows that the only two outstand ing pades are the ten and the three, no before dummy's re-entry is knocked out, he must return the deuce of spades, play the eight from his own hand, and West will win with the ten.
Now dummy's four spot is good over West's three, which is the trick needed for game.
