TURKEY DECIDES TO EXTRADITE

MOMENTARY HOPES DASHED

Jatanbul, April 1. Mr. Samuel Ineulls long run as a fugitive from the Chicago criminal courts seems to be ended at last.

There is no doubt that he will be extradited to the United States.ns. has been, reijuested by the Ameri- can authorlifes..

Insull-to-day appeared before the i Third Penal Tribunal for interroga- tion. Early in the proceedings, t was stated that he had dented American citizenship, but this sub. sequently was revented as the error of the court interpreter.

"FREE TO GO".

It td now clear that the Tribunali found that he won an American citizen and that the crime of which he was accused was not political or military, but a common crime.

The Tribunal told Insull that he ,was free to go, as far as they were roncerned, but that the dossier would be remitted to the authorities at Ankara, who would decide the question of whether the extradition demand should be acceded to or not.

Six weeks after the Soviet ice-breaker Chelyuskin was crushed and sunk in the Arctic ics-helda several members of the crew arm still marooned on ice-floor. Twelve women and children were rescued by aeroplanes and planes are being used in further rescue efforts. Unfortunately, Professor Yusha- koff was forced down by engine trouble on Friday.
