ATTACK STOPPED AT CUSTOMS PASS
(By Our Special Correspondent) HONGKONG WAS INVADED IN THE EARLY HOURS OF THIS MORNING BY A POWERFUL ATTACKING FORCE WHICH, UNDER COVER OF A THICK FOG, LANDED ON THE MAINLAND COAST NEAR HEBE HAVEN AND FOUGHT THEIR WAY THROUGH TO CUSTOMS PASS.
The attack was held up at Customs Pass, a natural defensive position which was held by a reserve company a heavy mountain battery of machine-gunners and which had taken up a new position after a retreat.
