CONFUSION INEVITABLE AT PRESENT
A SUGGESTION TO THE CLUB SECRETARIES
(By R. Abbit)
When last week I repeated my views about the desirability of more preliminary work between Cricket Secretaries, before the Annual Meeting of the League, I had no idea with what a complete argument I should be supplied on the very next day. I have frequently before voiced these views, but of course no one everj takes the suggestions of a cricket scribe serious- ly. Mark what happened!

It seems quito clear that due notice was given as the Club piny ed their own second, while both the advertised fixtures were scratched, #penk subject to correction, but I don't think any public notification was made.

The mid-week game was between the University second eleven at home and the R.A.M.C. The I do not think that this is quite visitors won very easily. It is per- In order. Of course, it is a possible haps somewhat of an anomaly to position that this is only the busl-find two Senfor League Army ness of the players concerned-or players turning out regularly for their Clubs. But I think myself the Junior League games their that there are many of the public particular unit. who like dropping along to have a look at a game, and they should be entitled to be warned.
R. ABBIT TICKED OFF! But the worst case was the mix ap
of the K.C.C., C.S.C.C. and Navy Axtures. I did knw about that and I took the trouble to give the exact facts last Friday. The only card in which the Navy vs C.S.C.C. friendly appeared was that of the Navy. Yet I am told that it ap peared in the papers, and that a Navy side netusily appeared to play nt iling's Park.
It is perhaps a little sad feel that the Navy don't read my notes-otherwise they might have made some enquiry,
