FUTURE OF FRENCH INTEREST DEALER IN WARSHIPS

THE DOLLAR IN MANCHUKUO

GRADUAL CORRECTION OF UNDERVALUATION

TIMES COMMENT

The Times commenting on tho future course of the American dollar reflects the growing belief that the under-valuation of the dollar may soon be corrected.

The Journal points out that while the dollar is falling from its parity with gold currencies, commercial demand is tempted to wait until the readjustment of

values has boen completed.

It is, therefore, likely that when parity is reached, there may be a temporary rebound, probably lead- ing to a resumption of gold ship- ments, but the dlaturbance to Europe in this event will be less violent than when the dollar was

first revalued.
