PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that since the 8th day of 7th Moon of the 21st Year of the Chinose Republic the Kwangtung Electric Supply Company, Limited, Canton (廣州市電力公司) a company organized under the laws of the Chinese Government to onerate and supply electricity to Canton for lighting and power, was taken over by the Canton Municipality, and that no com pensation has yet been made to its shareholders' in accordance with the Chinese Public Utility Laws. - It is reported that the Canton Government proposes to contract for a new generating equipment to be erected at Sal-chuen (9) or elsewhore, with the necessary distribution system, etc., for supply of electricity to the City.

All Existing Licences expire on 31st December, 1933. New Licences for 1994 will be available at the Radio Office, P. & 0. Building, as from 1st January, 1934 and will be issued during work- ing bours against the receipt of a remittance of $10.00.

Applications may be' mada:---

(a) personally.

(b) by mossonger.

(c) by post.

It is essential under (c) and preferable under (a) and (b) that applications should be accompanied by crossed cheque payable to Hong kong Government. The now licence will then be sent by post or messenger as soon as it is ready. Where actual cash la tendered a new licence should be received in exchange before leaving the Licensing Often.

In the case of renewal the old licence should be returned with the application.
