To-day's hand was given to me by Walter 1. Roberts of Cleveland, one of the official scorers of the American Bridge League, and it certainly shows the advisability of taking nothing for granted on a hand. Always provide yourself with two ways of making the con- tract, whenever possible.

Mr. Roberts sat in the North and played the hand at six clubs, and I assure you that he probably got to six clubs in a hurry, as he is noted for wasting no time in getting to slam contract.

However, I will give you the bidding as I believe it should be under the constructive one over one system of bidding.
