Hsuchow, Jan. 8.

A daring attack was made on a passenger train proceeding from Tientain to Pukow by 30 bandita at, Tungpalpuo, a small station south of Taian, early yesterday morning.

Disguised as passengers ten of the bandits boarded the train at Tufan. When the train peached a lonely point the outlaws began firing, which was a signal for the main gang, ambushed boside the raitway, to rush out.

The train guards put up a fight, but were unable to prevent the
