A Nanking air squadron consist- ing of ten machines carried out a wida reconnaissance fight over area in Fuklen yesterday morn- ing. Two of them, while flying over Changchow, dropped several bombs, causing slight damage be- fore making off.

According to an official messaɣe, the Nanking air squadron met with three rebel planes when crossing the border on their way south.

The three rebel planes were then scouting near the Contral Government's defence position at Pingyuen and Yangshun, in face, of the overwhelming strength of the Nanking squadron, they boat a haste retreat.

It is alleged that one of them made a forced landing when she was closely followed by a Nanking plane,
