A feast of football unparalleled at any other time of the year is always prepared for Christmas on Home fields, and this year's engagements are given an additional flavour of interest by reason of the leadership upsets- that are threatened.

The rapid succession of games during next week is seized upon by those clubs who are fortunate enough to be fielding their strongest teams, to make up leeway or to go. ahead.
