Washington, Dec. 13. A new alignment of poli- tical forces in the United States, with a section of the Republican Party taking the leading part, was shadowed in an important speech to-day by Senator Hiram Johnson.

The suggestion has caused animated discussion in political clrcles, though no hint is yet forth- coming concerning the strength of the movement commenced by Mr. Johnson, who hinted at the "carly formation of a new political party.
