CORPORAL A. E. V. WINTER, R.A.F. WAS SLIGHTLY INJURED THIS MORNING IN A MISHAP TO A KAI TACK SEAPLANE WHICH - CRASHED IN THE NEW TERRITORIES NEAR.

The machine was engaged in exercises when, it is believed, engine trouble developed, com- pelling the pilot to make a crash landing on the outskirts of the village of Sam Tam, close to Lokmachau police station.
The pilot escaped practically unhurt, but. Corporal Winter was taken to the Kowloon Hospital suffering from abrasions and shock.
