AFFIRMATION OF DEATH
Pleading guilty to a charge of perjury at the Criminal Sessions, before the Chief Justice, Mr. J. R. Vood, to-dny, Kwan Wai-chow, a banker, of 183, Queen's Road Contral, was remanded in custody unt to-morrow morning when Rentonce will be pronounced.
The Chief Justice wished to know when the offence became known to officials of the Treasury and Mr. J.A. Fraser, Assistant Attorney General, said he would inform the Court on this point to-morrow..
Although prisoner has beon on ball of $2,000 up to now, he was ordered to be detained "In the ordinary way" which means that he is in custody.

MINOR OFFENCES DEALT WITH
The Juvenile Offenders Court at the Central Magistracy Fund ita first sitting to-day, with Mr. Balfour, Second Police Magistrate, preslding.

The Probation Officer is Mr. Ho Chung-yuc, whoso appointment was gozatted on Saturday.
For the benefit of the Press and othera concerned. Mr. Hamilton, First Police Magistrate, this morning read the following extract from the Juvenile OTonders Or- dinance:
