""The Shadow"!

"The Shadow; which is now at the King's Theatre, was Elizabeth Allan's first' work in a picture for nearly four months. She had spent the interven- ing time on stage, tour, starring opposite Ivor Novella in his success- ful play "I Lived With You," She had previously played opposite Novella at Twickenham in a film. "The Lodger", and he was so impressed by her acting capabilities and charm that he invited het there and then to make this tour. "Lizzie" Allan was marvellous in the part, and both she and Iyor were given a wonderful reception in every town they visited. She was also to have appeared in the Alm version of "1 Lived With You", but Hollywood realised her ability and claimed her, leaving Ivor to find another leading lady.
