BEATEN BY RECREIO IN KEEN HOCKEY MATCH
HONGKONG: LADIES GIVEN A FRIGHT
The Y.M.C.A. first eleven suffer ed another reverso when they were defeated by the odd goal in five by the Club de Recreio in a friendly hockey match played at King's Park yesterday afternoon.
Play on the whole, was of an average standard there being no brilliant individual performancer.
The Y took the lead within the first few minutes of the com. mencement of play, R. Baldwin find ing the not as the result of a solo burst through. The Roerale rotaliat ed, W. Roed, at oentro-half, playing a clever game, whilo A. M. Xavier led the forward line well. Thoy equalised through Xavier.
