Istanbul, Oct. 27, The Turkish Parliament has voted an aranesty in celebration of the tenth anniversary of the Re- public's Foundation.

The girl, who had always been in good health, had been sent out to buy noodles and was returning to her home when knocked down.
Sui Yau Kwong, elder sister of that whon deceased, explained leaving the house that morning to buy some cakes, she saw her slater running across the road. At the same time, a lorry coming quickly down the street, knocked her down. The lorry was travelling on the left hand side of the road and wit- ness thought her sister had been knocked down by the bonnet of the lorry, but, as she was standing on the pavement behind the lorry, she was not certain. After the ac eldent, the lorry passed over the girl and witness saw the body ap- pear from under the back of the drove vehicle. The lorry then away and turned into Cheung Sha Wan Road, witness noticing the number, 1505.
The defendant, from the dock, declared that the girl had not been present at the time of the accident. He alleged that another man, stay- ing on the same floor as Inst wit-
