While the no trump response to partner's original bid is generally termed a afgn-off and indicates woakness, it doen.not mean that such a bid cannot be made with a hand containing some tricka.

In today's article I wish to clear up two points with your the bidding of a no trump in ro- sponse to partner's original bid when holding some strength, and a jump to game that is not a slam try.
