service at St. John's Cathedral, which was choral, was taken by the Rov. N. V. Halward, with Mr. F. Mnaon, A.R.C.O. at the organ. The hymns sung "Lead Us Heavenly Father," and "O Perfect Love," and by the special request of Mr. Tratman the Prize Song from the maesteringers tho (Wagner) was played on organ
The bride entered the Cathedral "ön the arm of the Hon-the-Colonial Secretary, by whom she was given nway. Her dress, fashioned by Madamo Estelle LeMaitre, late of Hongkong and now of Parla, was of French pearl coloured satin, and was beautifully cut to mould the figure in panclas laring slightly from below the hip line, and form- ing a novel round train in one with the gown. A ruching of pleated Antin finished the entire train edge. Her allk tulle veil, sweeping beyond the hem of the train was held in place by a circlet of seed pearls and orange blossom, and she carried a sheaf of white gladioli with jasmin Intertwined.
The bridesmaids dresses, made by Madame D'Obry, formed a pleasant illustration of the velvet and lace vogue, the velvet swathing the figure, whilst the fine lace male a deep transparent yoke with a high neckline nt front and dropping to a point at the back, und accen- tuated sleeves. The Reception.
The 200 guests who, were invited to the reception were received by Mrs. Tratman, who was gowned in an attractive tailored vogue in heavy navy silk patterned in red and beige, with smart swagger coat of navy introducing very pretty shoulder effect, and all accessories Including the new jester hat in red, with poke-shape eye veil of navy. African daisies were her chosen flowers which matched well in colouring her ensemble, which had been carried out by Madamo D'Obry.
Speeches were made by Mr. Traiman and Mr. True, and many congratulatory messages were received from absent ones, fore- most being those of the bride's parents from Roath Park, Cardig and the bridegroom's meiker from Ilford, Essex,
The pleasure of the reception was enhanced when guests were able to admiro the many elaborate wedding gifts displayed, as well as enjoy the appropriate, orchestral music.
Later in the afternoon the happy couple left for the Now Territorica, and will afterwards take up resid- enco at Canton. The bride's going away dress was of powder bluc with coat and hat en suite;
