At Messrs. Lammerts auction rooms, Duddall Street, yesterday afternoon, the sale was held of nine Chinese 3-storey tenement bulld- ings situated at Non. 2-18, Swatow Lane.

A number of Chinese were pre- sent, but bidding was confined to only three. The auctioneer (Mr. L. Lammert) announced that the property would have to be sold, and left the bidding to be started-by those presort.
